I'm developing an MCMS web service and am getting a 401 unauthorized error
when I try to consume it from a client. It works fine when I use the test
harness to navigate to the asmx file directly. And it also works when the
service is on a remote server. It occurs only when I call the service locally.
Details:
- It doesn't seem to matter what the web service does. I'm getting this
error even with the HelloWorld sample service
- I've tried using both localhost, 127.0.0.1, and my IP address when calling
the service. No difference
- I'm including an httpModule, CmsAuthorizationModule, in my web.config.
When I comment that out, that specific error goes away. But I need the module
for my service.
- I posted this question in the MCMS group and someone suggested it was a
"double-hop Kerberos" issue and to try this group.
Thanks,
Kyle
