Access client HDD from Web Application ????

Toma

Hello !
First, excuse me for my very bad English, but I'll try to explain my problem
.....
I write my first Web Application on C# and ASP.NET /till now I write only
for Windows/, and this WebApp must read and write files on the client
computer.
Can someone explain how the Web App can do this ?

P.S. -> WebApp is for our company and all reading and writing data will be
with agreement of our clients.......
I wish you best !

Hi

Your english was well :)

You first must understand that a web model programming is a complete
different model from windows...
Web apps work on a disconnected environment, and the browser should not
allow any interaction with the client computer that can compromise security.

What kind of hdd interaction are you trying to do ?
If you try to post a file, for example, you can use controls that do it,
without compromising security.
If you want to to something else, you can embed windows user controls. Try

regards
hope it helps
