adjusting column width of exported gridview in excel

Hello Everyone,

I exported the gridview to excel spreadsheet in order to print out the
excel spreadsheet. Is it possible to adjust the width of the columns of the
excel spreadsheet? Once I did the export the width of the column became same
for all the column even if there is no data in the gridview. Client wants
some columns to be of shorter width in excel spreadsheet, if there is no data
in that particular column

Is there any work around for that.
