ajax updatepanel not receiving data ( clearing data too )

Hi

i'm using an update panel with a timer to refresh news in a page
news are being populated from an call to a rss then parsed to a
string and sent to a label in the update panel

once in a while the label is cleared for no reason, there is no
error on the server or client

any idea why my label is being cleared
