Alternatives to "check for well-formedness"?

Discussion in 'XML' started by Gustaf Liljegren, Jun 24, 2003.

  1. A valid document.
    A well-formed document.
    To validate a document.
To check a document for well-formedness...?

I'm hardly the first writer to run into this problem. There seem to be no
good verb for "check for well-formedness". Or did I just miss it? Are there
any other words that has been used for this?
