I am very pleased to finally announce the release of version 1.0 of
the XML Hammer application.
The XML Hammer application is a free and open-source tool that
simplifies elementary XML actions like checking for well-formedness,
validation, transformation and xpath searches using any JAXP
implementation.
The bugs fixed in this version include an issue with previously opened
but removed projects and some changes to the start-up scripts.
Besides the fixed bugs, this version also adds a line-number margin to
the different preview editor panes.

FUTURE:
Future versions will have more types of projects and will allow non-
developers to simply specify input XML documents and validate, run
XPath searches and Transform these XML documents using pre-
packaged projects.
