Hello,
I am developing an application for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I plan on
installing the application under The 'Program Files' folder. My application
generates some log files as well as several types of data files. I know that
I cannot create/write to files under the 'Program Files' folder unless I am
a power user or an administrator. I would like my application to be run by a
normal user. What are the best practices for choosing folder locations for
logs and data generated by an application? Some of my data is applicable to
all users and some is only for the current user.
Thank you for your help,
