Aquire Data from user

Hello,

What's the recommended method of allowing user input on a web form with the
aim to save the data back into a database? I've been trying to use a
repeater, but it seems to have difficulty in assigning the textbox text to a
parameter. I've also experimented with a datagrid, but I believe they
require a greater overhead and don't seem to allow formatting other than in
a row.

I'm basically trying to edit an existing record and save the results back
but it's causing me grief.

Any thoughts appreciated.

OK,

I now know that I definitely do not want a DataGrid for my control and
probably do not want a DataList. I'll start a new thread for my follow-up
question.
