ASP.NET 2.0 - InsertTemplate - Include ID form 1 side of 1-to-Many type relationship

Hi

I have GridView1 linked to [author_main] table.

on the same page i have DeatilView1 linked to [author_details] table.

when i create a new entry in theDetailView1, i need to get the "author_id"
from the GridView1

in the DetailView1 InsertTemplate how do i get "author_id" which is in
GridView1 to be automatically inserted as the new entry for DeailView1.
