asp.net Custom Control in GAC Not Found

Hi There,

We've got a few web sites that use the same class libraries as well as a few custom server controls. We of course strong name the class libraries as well as custom server controls and put them in the GAC so all of our web sites can access them.

However, The web sites seem unable to find the custom server controls in the GAC but have no problem finding the class libraries in the GAC. Any ideas why this could be happening?
