ASP.NET - User identity is lost on subsequent requests

Hi ,
I have a windows server (2003) with Authentication mode set as Windows. I
have a piece of code that accesses the Identity object as below
Me.Page.User.Identity.Name

I am able to get the User's name(NTID) on the first request, however on
subsequent requests. this turns out to be empty. Any idea what could be
reason for the same?
