Auto-Generating Passwords That Require User to Change

In VS 2008/.Net 3.5, I am looking for the most efficient way to auto-generate
a user password AND force them to change it on their next login. Using
Membership, the auto-generate part seems easy, but can't anything on forcing
a change.

With everything Membership offers, can't help but think I'm missing something.
