barrel shifter

Discussion in 'VHDL' started by Hendrik Greving, Sep 13, 2005.

  1. Hi

    I can perfom a << b in Verilog. But if I make SHL(a,b) (a,b = unsigned)
    I get errors. Is it possible to define barrel shifters as easy as in
    Verilog?

    Thanks for help.

    Regards,
    Hen

    numeric_std has:

    function SHIFT_LEFT (ARG: UNSIGNED; COUNT: NATURAL) return UNSIGNED;
