batik SVG viewer so slow as to not seem interactive

    Hello all:

When I run the batik SVG viewer (i.e. squiggle), it is incredibly slow
to load an SVG file and to do any transformations. Is there some other
open source viewer that is more responsive? Even in the same ballpark
    (performance-wise) as the Adobe viewer?

    TIA.

    Regards..
