What is the best way to update a selected checkboxlist or a dropdown
menu, the information is stored in database - a datagrid or datalist or
any other way?

your updated data is it to be persisted?
datagrid and datalist is just controls to show up your data, they don't
store data.

Thanks for your reply - actually you are able to update information
using Datagrid or Datalist but this is more like text information. the
update the information and display the updated information. While
setting up the datagrid you can use the onEditCommand, onCancelCommand,
onUpdateCommand - to update the text information - but what about the
checkboxlist and dropdowm menus?
