Book recommendations

Discussion in 'C++' started by Jan Morten Sørensen, Nov 1, 2005.

  1. Hi

    I want to learn more about programming in C++. I need some good books
    covering the following subject:

    Object-orienting
    Open GL in Visual C++
    GIS programming in C++
    Windows API
    Microsoft Foundation Classes

    Hopefully you can give me some good books which explains in detail why and
    how you do things.

    Thanks

    For the GUI interface aspects only, _Programming Windows xxx_ by Charles
    Petzold. Where xxx is a version of Windows. It's really the bible for
    hands on access to the GUI.
