Build one-click-installer version prerequisites

I am looking for all necessary things to build a tailored version (should use Onigurama) of the
one-click-installer versionv of Ruby for Windows.

I failed simply in fulfilling the prerequisites, because the required "Oracle 8 Client for Windows" ist no
longer available (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle8i/htdocs/winsoft.html) and the
alternative does not exist (http://curthibbs.us/Oracle81Stub.zip).

The Oracle site gives me the alternatives to download some Oracle 9 Clients (I would need things for Windows
2000), but it comes up to an amount of 600MB to 1.8GB, which is simply nonsense via a modem.

What can I do/use instead????

Best regards, Wolfgang Nadasi-Donner

As an continuation: The required unz550xN.exe Unzip-Version does not exist, there ist only unz552xN.exe.

Did someone ever build an own version steered by the documentation in the project?

Oracle81Stub.zip should be there, but I'm having problems with my web=20
server. Send me an email to curt at hibbs dot com and I will reply with=20
it as an attachment (its about 384k).

Thank you very much. I received the file and it looks fine.

But now I have another question related to the "ReadMe.txt" file in the installer-win subdirectory. In chapter
"Step 1: Download and Compile" it is noted, that the environment variables shoult be set properly. I want to
use VC++7, so I was looking for the named "vsvars32.bat" file - but it doesn't exist.

Can you give me any hint where to find it?

As I last checked the VC 2003 Toolkit compiler had this bat file included.

Its located at "%VS71COMNTOOLS%vsvars32.bat" where %VS71COMNTOOLS% is an=20
environment variable set by Visual Studio when you installed it. For=20
example on my system:

VS71COMNTOOLS=3DE:\DevTools\VS2003\Common7\Tools\

Thanks a lot - it was my fault. The PC from which I usually access the internet has only the .NET runtime
environment installed. On the machine where Visual Studio is installed the file is exactly at this place.
