SaaS providers NetSuite and NETTime Solutions are already claiming that their applications operate more quickly with Google's Chrome than with any other browser. Will larger applications vendors start optimizing for Chrome soon, too?

What would be the point of optimising for the browser that executes
javascript fastest? It would make much more sense to optimise for the
browser that was likely to be used but performed worst, as that is
where performance issues would be most noticeable.
