Button Event Not triggered

I have created a Button Column in a Datagrid.
I am trying to use the OnItemCommand Event it triggers when a user clicks
that button.

If I set the button Type to be a LinkButton the event is triggered, however
if I set the button Type to be a PushButton it is NOT.

....The OnItemCommand is set in the aspataGrid element on the HTML page and
the event with the same name is in the code behind page.....Any ideas?
