Hi
How to call a JavaScript function in an iframe from the enclosing
page?
It works for me only in the other direction (inside to outside).
Document properties such as document.body.bgColor are accessible, but
I am not interested in those. I want to access JavaScript properties.
I have created a testcase at
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353629
There is a W3C document that suggests that this should be possible for
the object tag. I tried it, and it does not seem to work for me:
http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/present/frames.html#h-16.2.1
Look for "Sharing data among frames"
I need support for Firefox/IE5/IE6
BTW I have done this with frameset frames and between windows - no
problems there.
Many thanks
