Call me a dinosaur but ..... (Netbeans 3.6?)

I'm using Netbeans 3.6 on a network of Apples and want to know if it is
possible if when someone loads Netbeans for the first time and the
netbeans directory is created, a zip file can be automatically mounted
(i.e.effectively initialising CLASSPATH) so they always have that
filesystem available whatever they do ?
