Can you hide the contents of a row but leave the row there?

Is there a way to leave a 'placeholder' for a row but to hide all of the
elements? I could probably go through and hide each element but it seems
like there should be an easier way.

TIA - Jeff.

I'm trying to build a 'calendar' of items and have places where there is
nothing so I need a cell that is blank. I guess I'll fill it in with a blank
gif.

Not in 1.x framework. Hidden rows are simply not rendered to the client. I
believe this has been changed in 2.0. Why do you need it anyway if it is
not visible?
