Can't execute asp.net app using development web server

After I created a asp.net 2.0 application using visual studio 2005, I tried
to execute the application and I get an error message "asp.net development
server failed to start listening on port 9427. Errormessage: An invalid
argument was supplied"

So I tried to execute the following command
WebDev.WebServer /port:9427 /path:"c:\websites\test" \vpath:"\test"

and still got the same error message. Have anyone come across a similar
situation?
