Can't use standard controls - drag and drop fails

My standard controls have stopped responding to drag and drop.
I can drag and drop the HTML controls onto the designer, but not the
standard controls.

I saw that someone else ran into this recently, but there were no
replies.

It gets better. It's specific to the application I was working on at
the time.

I loaded a different application and everything works fine.

Anyone have any thoughts?

My web.config was busted and it was affecting everything else.
