Catching exceptions on the server side in an RMI application

I have a client/server application which uses RMI and i want to be
able to catch all client initiated exceptions on the server to be
logged.

Is there a way i can plug into the RMI runtime to do this?
Is there a way i can tell the RMI runtime to use a special type of
thread that i would create that would wrap the run call with a try
catch to handle exceptions.

Any advice would be appreciated
