ChiliSoft and Includes

Discussion in 'ASP General' started by Travis Pupkin, Apr 26, 2004.

  1. For reasons out of my control I am developing a site on Sun server
running ChiliSoft; both software versions are about 4 years old.

There's an annoying quirk of this set-up that caches ASP pages until the
timestamp of the page is updated. This means that changes made to
include files within that ASP document won't show up for users who have
cached the page because the ASP doc itself hasn't changed. As I use an
include-based template system, this totally sucks.

Anyone know any way around this? Any way to force a refresh of the main
ASP page, or to dynamically update its timestamp without actually
rewriting the page every time it loads?

    Thanks.

Thanks, but unfortunately, this issue goes beyond simple caching. It's a
Chili bug at the server level.
