code signing in 2005

when creating a web deployment project in vs2005, the authenticode options
that were available in vs2003 have been removed.

is this functionailty available elsewhere in vs ?
or is this now a completely manual process ?

i found it - one part of docs state to use the authenticode options of the
deployment project properties ( which don't exist ) but help for the
property page itself states that authenticode is no longer available in vs
and links to some more documentation on manual code signing via msbuild.

anyone have any idea why MS went out of their way to remove this
functionality in 2005 ?
