Comparing and Rating Different Frameworks for Ruby

Discussion in 'Ruby' started by Softmind Technology, Jan 8, 2008.

  1. Hello,

I was searching for few alternates for Ruby Framework and found quite
few of them on the net.

It would be nice if there is already a detailed comparison available for
them or can be discussed/Rated here based on general opinions and
    preference.

This would give us a general idea of missing and highlighting points of
    frameworks.

Here are few of them. Please add more here if missing.

FRAMEWORKS ( Except Ruby on Rails )

    (1) Ramaze :- http://ramaze.net/
    (2) Camping:-
    http://redhanded.hobix.com/bits/campingAMicroframework.html
    (3) Merb :- http://merbivore.com/
    (4) Sinatra:- http://sinatra.rubyforge.org/
    (5) Nitro/Og:- http://www.nitroproject.org/
    (6) NARF:- http://www.narf-lib.org/

It would be nice if supporting web servers are also mentioned along with
    your ratings and suggestions.

    Thanking you.
