Connecting Microsoft Interdev 6.0 with IIS 6.0

Im trying to set up a Master mode development environment
using Microsoft Visual Interdev 6.0. When asked for the
IIS server, Im trying to connect to Server 2003, I get
cannot locate server error. I try using the IP address
also which doesnt work.

When I specified an IIS 5.0 server Interdev is able to
locate this, s this a setting somewhere in IIS 6.0.

Please help.

There is certainly more security on Windows Server 2003 which could be the
problem. Here are a couple of posibilities:

1. FrontPage extensions not installed or activated on Windows Server 2003.
This is the default that InterDev uses to contact the server.

2. There is a port that is closed. As I am not intimately familiar with VID
any more, I am not sure which port it would be using.

NOTE: By default IIS 6 is locked down. You have to configure it to open it
up to accept ASP, FrontPage, et al. If you do not, you will not be able to
do much of anything.
