Control access to JAAS CallbackHandler.handle method?

Is there a way to control what code can call the JAAS related
'CallbackHandler.handle' method? Normally this call would be only be made
inside a LoginModule implementation, but I'm looking for a secure way to
ensure that this is actually the case.
