CPAN problem

    CPAN: Net::FTP loaded ok

    Couldn't fetch 01mailrc.txt.gz from ftp.perl.org

    Trying with "/usr/bin/lynx -source" to get
    ftp://ftp.perl.org/pub/CPAN/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz

    Looking up ftp.perl.org
    Making FTP connection to ftp.perl.org
    Can't Access `ftp://ftp.perl.org/pub/CPAN/authors/01mailr

    Not sure where to start sorting it out
    IIRC ive installed other stuff with CPAN with no problem

    Hi Peter,

    Try setting the following environment variable

    export FTP_PASV=1

    I found this problem when I was behind a firewall and this set all FTP
    to passive and worked with no problems. I have CPAN running without any
    issue
