Creating ASP.NET web farm

Hi,

I would like to know what are the different ways possible to create a ASP.NET web forms. I am interested in knowing what are the various softwares that allow creating a ASP.NET web farm? From my initial research I know that Microsoft Application Centre can be use. What are the other ways of creating web farms? I am a novice with regards to web farms though I have created ASP.NET applications for single server scenarios. So please give as much details and reference material as possible.
