Thought this might be of interest to some out there... For those
who've never encountered it, it's a free, open-source, cross-platform
GUI library (Windows/Mac/Linux). Forte's Agent 2.0 will be built with
it. AVG is as well..

"wxWindows
An open source C++ GUI framework to make cross-platform
programming child's play."

<http://www.wxwindows.org/>

"wxWindows gives you a single, easy-to-use API for writing GUI
applications on multiple platforms.

"wxWindows allows you to target Windows 95/98/ME, Windows NT/2K/XP,
Linux/Unix . . . and MacOS. So, you don't have to worry that your
development investment will be made obsolete by the requirement to
target another platform.

"wxWindows is free and open source."

Agent 2.0 will be built using wxWindows, putting it in a position to
be ported to the Mac or Linux...

<http://www.forteinc.com/news/bulletin.php?id=agent20progress.php>

"At the beginning of this year, we made the decision to port Agent
2.0 to wxWindows -- a mature, open-source, cross-platform user
interface toolkit:

"Mature: wxWindows was developed in 1992 and is used by companies,
universities, and governments all over the world. wxWindows
continues to be updated by a team of developers headed by the
original architect, Julian Smart.

"Cross-Platform: wxWindows supports Windows, Linux, and Mac.
However, Agent 2.0 will only support Windows. But, in the future,
Agent will be poised to support new operating systems."
