CS0007: Unexpected common language runtime initialization error --

So I was happily coding away. I made a lot of changes to my code and decided
to debug it. I kept getting the error that the project was not setup to
debug. I tried one of my simple test applications that worked previously and
when it ran I got the above error. I am usure of what steps to take and any
advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

check the Build >> Configuration Manager to see whether you are doing a
Debug Build.
Check the .config file if you find Debug=false... set it to true.

make sure that you are in administrators and debuggers group on the machine
you are trying to debug. if you are debugging asp.net on a remote server you
will need to be in above groups on the server.

finally what are you running ? XP ? did you just update service pack 2 ?

Sorry to take so long to reply; slight bout with kidney rejection.

I am on a local machine; no sp2; I am a memeber of debuggers. Also I am in
administrators;
I decided to uninstall IIS;frontpage extensions;.net framework;.net
framework sdk. I reinstalled all the above componenets. After a lot of
effort, I still get the cs00007 error. Even worse my original project won't
go into debug mode, I get the project not configured for debug.
Just to add to my fun the xp splash screen has changed and I now get a small
login box rather than the pictures with names when I power on.
I am almost to the point of wiping my machine clean and take 3 days to
rebuild it. I wish there was a way to reinstall the os while leaving all the
software intact.

Any help is appreciated,
Bill

well trust me now all you want to do is rebuilt.
and yes its a pain installing all softwares maybe you could write an answer
file to ease OS installation.
and then once its all installed and done.. (with your apps working
correctly)
take a backup image. using symantec drive image and burn a copy to hard
drive or to a dvd rom / cdrom

that way you just load the backup on...
