    Why doesn't my text color apply for a SPAN element? I get the body
    text-color instead.

    In my style sheet:
    SPAN.selection { text-color: #FFFFFF; background: #005bb7; padding: 2px; }

    In my HTML code:
    <span class="selection">Selected</span>

    Thx!
