I have:
Two different developer machines
Both machines seem identical for versions of windows and IIS and .NET
framework
Both machines have web.config session state set to "InProc"
Use Session to store a Dataset
Behavior
One machine works perfectly fine...
The other machine gets an error indicating that there is no instance of
Session
UNLESS
We set that machine session state to "StateServer" (and, of
course, turn on the state server)
Possible Clue:
One machine displays Version 4.0.2.5526 on the Default Web Site
Properties/Server Extensions Tab
while the other machine shows Version 4.0.2.4426
Has anyone got any further insight into this? Did Session Inproc not work
in certain versions of IIS?
Thanks
