data access error with access 97 (jet)

i am having trouble with accessing the access database
using the oledb Jet drivers in the visual studio .net
environment. when i try to open the connection i recieve
the error message which says that the records cannot be
locked. i have listed the message as follows:

Exception Details: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException:
Could not lock file.


i am pretty new to Asp.Net so any help would be
appreciated.

Check that the ASPNET and IUSR_<machinename> accounts have sufficient
privileges to allow the writing of the Access lock (.ldb) file.
