does anyone know of a link where i can take a look at tenary trees (when a
node has more than two children) to see how they work?

It can be as simple as:

<pseudoCode>
public class TernaryNode<T> {
public T dataHere;
public TernaryNode<T> firstChild, secondChild, thirdChild;
}
</pseudoCode>
