Would somebody please compare Delphi with Delphi.net and C#? Also the
different between C# development tools, such as MS Visual Studio and Delphi
2005.

fwiw, I'm no expert (see sig) but, imo, you're question is too vague and
would take hours to answer, the way it's written. The differences may be
minor to you but major to someone else. You'll probably have better luck
getting the info you need by browsing the various company web sites that
sell the tools. For one thing, there's no way for anyone here to know the
level of comparison you'd need. Side by side syntax comparison? IDE
comparison? etc.. etc.. You'll be better off going to the vendor sites and
downloading any white papers you find on the topic.

Borland Development Studio (BDS) 2006 is due out in December and has
Delphi, C++, and C# all in the same package, so you can see for yourself
what the differences are.

The real issue is do you want win32 exes, or .NET code. For win32 exes you
need to use the VCL, otherwise you can choose between the VCL and WinForms
for .NET and still use Delphi. You can also use C# with WinForms in the
BDS.

As to which is more productive, it depends on what you already know.
