Browser detection is not possible for cheaters who keep their post on top by
    setting their clock ahead.

Also, is there any way for you to possibly find any more irrelevant groups
    to post to?

    Hi Henry:

You have to take the Version property of Request.Browser object and
compare it to a list of known versions. I don't know of a descriptive
property. What follows are the versions I've seen since 5.5:

5.50.3825.1300 Internet Explorer 5.5 Developer Preview (Beta)
5.50.4030.2400 Internet Explorer 5.5 & Internet Tools Beta
5.50.4134.0100 Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows Me (4.90.3000)
    5.50.4134.0600 Internet Explorer 5.5
5.50.4308.2900 Internet Explorer 5.5 Advanced Security Privacy Beta
    5.50.4522.1800 Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1
    5.50.4807.2300 Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2
6.00.2462.0000 Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview (Beta)
6.00.2479.0006 Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview (Beta) Refresh
6.00.2600.0000 Internet Explorer 6 (Windows XP)
6.00.2800.1106 Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (Windows XP SP1)
6.00.2900.2180 Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP SP2
    6.00.2800.1278 IE 6 Update v.01 Developer Preview (SP1b Beta)
    6.0.2800.1314 IE 6 Update v.04 Developer Preview (SP1b Beta)
    6.00.3663.0000 IE 6 for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 RC1
    6.00.3718.0000 Internet Explorer 6 for Windows Server 2003 RC2
6.00.3790.0000 Internet Explorer 6 for Windows Server 2003 (released)

    Hi all,

I'm building a website which provides contents that only work for some
browser types and versions. I know I can get most of the client browser
information using HttpBrowserCapabilities class, but I can't find a way to
determine IE update version or service pack number. Any ideas?

    TIA

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for replying, I have read the article but I don't seem to find
anything related to IE update version or service pack number.
    Any more idea?
