    Even there is no status bar and toolbar, refresh still happens in the
    background. Is there any way to disable refresh feature in browser??

    Winopentest.html

    <html>
    <body>
    <a href="#"
    onclick='window.open("test.asp",null,"height=500,width=500,status=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no");'>
    open new win</a>
    </body>
    </html>

    Test.asp
    <%= Time() %>

    Please advise. thanks!!

    No. If you are using a Web browser as the UI for your application, you have to live with the specific issues a
    Web browser UI presents. Deal with issues like someone refreshing the current window on the server, where you
    have control over the environment.
