Disapearing component

Very strange behavior of my component.

I drag my component on WebForm, set up all of its properties.
All of them are saved in my code-behind. When I switch to Code View I see
that code.
I can run my WebForm with the values.

However, when I switch to HTML view, all the code associated with the
component disappears when I switch back to Design view.

Have anybody experienced that?
