distutil: problem with RELATIVE paths for install_purelib switch.. they must be ABSOLUTE?!?!

I set prefix in setup.cfg along with install_purelib.

I noticed that install_purelib MUST be an ABSOLUTE path or else

files don't get installed!!!

I thought install_purelib setting could be relative to prefix??!?!?!
