Hi!
Installing VS.NET will install the .NET SDK. You can invoke the various
tools of the SDK, like ILDASM, GACUTIL, etc by opening the Visual Studio
Command Prompt, from the VS.NET Program Group that is created for you.
The .NET SDK is needed to develop applications targetting the .NET
Framework. And it can be used, minus the VS.NET IDE, to do the same.
Ofcourse, you will have to write code to design the UI, in which the VS IDE
can really help.
