When invoking for the first time upon an operation of a CORBA object,
the call takes a long time (about 15s), whereas successive calls return
almost immediately. The initial delay is not caused by the servant
itself, and occurs even when client and server are collocated on the
same machine. The ORB used by the Java server is the one that ships with
SUN JDK (1.4). Both Java and non-Java clients are affected.
Can anyone confirm, explain or remedy this situation?
Thanks
