Dynamic controls not rendered correctly....

I am building a dynamic form of TextBoxes in ASP.net 2.0. I
programmatically build this form in the Page_Init event. I
programmatically add attributes(AutoPostback, Runat, etc) to each
TextBox. Each attribute is carried over into the html. They are not
treated as a server control at all. The event I add doesn't even show
up. What am I missing here?
