extracting file from the file descriptor

I am using Linux gcc 4.1.1 version
I have a file descriptor and I want to have a FILE* pointer to the
file from the file descriptor.

OR

if I can have the file name using the file descriptor..

Please help..

Perhaps, but there's no such thing as a filedescriptor or fdopen in
standard C and C++. Try POSIX.
