fail to show animation .gif file

Hello, everyone:

I have a animation file such as 1.gif. when I use <img id="ani1" src="1.gif">

It works well in the visual studio enviroment, but when I run the
application, the image is static. Can anyone help me out?

Maybe animation is turned off in Internet Explorer? I think that is set in
the Advanced options.
