fedora core 5 + install net::ssh::perl = hangs

hello,

when trying to install net::ssh:erl on fedora core 5, it hangs at this
step :

t/03-packet......ok 1/10

i don't know if it hangs on other distributions... it's a known problem,
it seems to be a fix in version 1.30, but precisely, it's the version
1.30 i'm trying to install, and it hangs...

i'm sure one of you has already encountered this problem, and holds the
solution.

Why not use the pre-built package?

yum install perl-Net-SSH-Perl

[Haven't checked in FC5 but it's there in FC6 and F7]
