File Name as Field Name

I receive weekly updates via a download file for an application written
in VB.NET 2003. The file is delimited by "|" (single pipe) and I
currenly have a format file setup to update my data in one table using
an SQL Procedure.

I also would like to store the information from the file, including the
file name, in another table so I can refrence the information from SQL
instead of refering back to the files. If there is an easy way to do
this via code in .NET can some one please provide me with a snippit of
code?
